This policy explains what information Pan India Pulse ("we") collects when you use panindiapulse.com, and how it is used.

Information stored on your device

To remember your preferences, we store a small amount of information in your browser's local storage: your theme, time window, saved stories, prediction game picks, quiz answers, visit streak and recently loaded headlines. This information stays on your device. We do not receive it, and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

Advertising

We use Google AdSense to show advertisements. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can learn how Google uses this information at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and you can turn off personalised advertising at adssettings.google.com. Where required by law, we ask for your consent before personalised ads are shown.

Polls, reactions and page counts

When you vote in a poll or react to an article, our server stores your answer with an anonymous code made from a one-way scramble of your IP address and browser type. The code stops the same person voting twice; it can't be turned back into your IP address, and we never store the address itself. We also count how many times each page is opened, without cookies and without anything that identifies you. We use these totals to understand what readers care about.

Third-party services

To display headlines and fonts, your browser connects to third-party services, including news feed relays, Google Fonts and the websites of the news outlets you choose to open. These services receive standard technical information such as your IP address and browser type, under their own privacy policies.

Children

Pan India Pulse is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your choices

You can block or delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings. The site will still work, although your preferences, saved stories and game progress will be reset.
